Education for Ministry (EfM)

As Christians, each of us is called to ministry—our Christian service—which is our
faith in action. We live our ministry every day in the many ways we serve others
through our intentional ministries or what we might sometimes term just helping
out.

The Education for Ministr (EfM) program offers an opportunity to discover
the tools and knowledge to more effectively carry out our ministry—whatever it is.
The EfM materials and study format offer an opportunity to:

  • deepen understanding of the Bible and its continued relevance today
  • discover the many threads of the remarkable history of Christianity,
  • explore the thoughts and ideas which have both sustained and challenged the Christian faith.

This small group learning experience is based in shared discussion of the study materials and reflection connecting our faith with our everyday life experiences. EfM has been an important part of the journey for many who have participated in the program, which can help to deepen our faith and experience of what it means to live out our Christian faith in every facet of our everyday lives.

For information about joining EfM, please contact the parish office or speak with Rev. Johanna.
