Please Be Seated: Trinity Returns to In-Person Worship
On July 26th, Trinity held its first worship service with people in the pews and celebration of the Holy Eucharist since the stay-at-home order was issued in March. This service was a run-through of what will become our new hybrid Zoom/In-Person service and featured members of our vestry present in the church while the rest of the congregation tuned-in from home.

The service is unique and different than a simple Livestream in that participants from home are displayed on the wall of the nave and can participate as if they were present.

Readings happen either in-person at the lectern or via the video feed, depending on where the scheduled reader is located.

Communion is celebrated and distributed in a safe, socially distant manner, with each recipient sanitizing their hands before receiving and proceeding to the altar rail in small groups of 6 to receive a communion wafer only, removing masks only long enough to consume the wafer. Wine is consecrated but is not being distributed at this time.

Of course, we cannot have everyone gather at once as only about 25 pews are available for use in order to maintain proper social distancing. In-person worship is by reservation only. Those wishing to join us in-person are asked to sign-up for an available pew space online or contact the parish office.
